AI cycling training that adapts to your life

Work runs late on Wednesday, and the interval session does not happen. Or you wake up on Monday with a sore throat, and the week is gone.

That is the week a fixed plan stops fitting. RestOrTrain is built for it. You tell the coach what happened, and it rebuilds your week around your real life.

Tell it the way you would say it

There is no form to fill in. You write to the coach the way you would text a friend who coaches you. "I've had a fever since Monday." "I'm in Lisbon Thursday to Saturday, hotel gym only." "I only have two hours this week."

It already knows your rides. It also reads your sleep, HRV and resting heart rate from Garmin, Apple Health, COROS or Intervals.icu. So you do not explain your fitness first. You just say what changed.

It rewrites the whole week

Ask for a new week, and the coach rewrites every day the change touches. That is the coming week, or up to a month ahead if you ask. It keeps the sessions that matter most and fits the rest around the time you have. Then it tells you what it moved and why.

The new workouts go straight to your Garmin, Wahoo, Hammerhead, COROS, Zwift or Rouvy, with their targets in them. You copy nothing by hand.

A trip or a day off you mention goes on the calendar straight away. For a week with only a hotel gym, it can plan gym sessions for those days. If your race moves, it offers a new plan as a card, and you accept it with one tap.

Nothing changes without you knowing why

Your plan never moves by itself. The coach changes it when you ask, and it says what changed and why. When you open the app on Thursday, the workout is the one you agreed to.

We built it that way on purpose. A plan you understand is a plan you follow. If you disagree with a change, say so, and it thinks again.

What it did with a missed session

We tried this on September 26, 2026, with a test rider we use to check the coach. The rider is halfway through a training block for a hilly gran fondo. They rode Tuesday's threshold intervals, then missed Wednesday's VO2 session because of work, and wrote:

I had to skip yesterday's VO2 session, work blew up and I couldn't get out. Can you sort out the rest of my week?

The coach put the missed session where Thursday's easy spin had been. It kept Friday easy and kept Saturday's long ride, then put the new week on the calendar. Its reply began:

You don't need to cram the missed session into the weekend. Tuesday's threshold work was strong, and your recovery signals are normal, so I've moved the VO2 session to today, kept Friday aerobic, and preserved Saturday as the week's key endurance ride.

It remembers how you train

Tell it once that you never ride before work, and it keeps to that in later weeks. Races, trips and days off stay on your calendar, so each new week is built around them.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an AI app that adapts my cycling training to my life?

Yes. RestOrTrain is an AI cycling coach you talk to. Tell it what changed, such as a work trip, a cold or less time this week, and it rewrites the days the change touches and tells you why. The new workouts go to your Garmin, Wahoo, Hammerhead, COROS, Zwift or Rouvy. It runs on iPhone and Android, and a few questions a month are free.

What happens when I miss a workout?

Tell the coach, for example "I had to skip yesterday's intervals." It looks at your recent rides and your recovery, decides whether the missed session still fits, and rewrites the rest of the week. It tells you what it changed and why, and the new workouts go to your devices.

Does RestOrTrain change my plan without asking?

No. Your plan changes only when you ask, so you always know what changed and why. The coach reads every ride and your sleep and recovery data, and uses them when it rewrites your week.

Does it know if I slept badly?

Yes, if a device records your sleep. RestOrTrain reads sleep, HRV and resting heart rate from Garmin, Apple Health, COROS or Intervals.icu. Ask whether to still do today's intervals, and it answers from last night and your recent rides.

How far ahead does RestOrTrain plan?

It writes the coming week by default, and up to a month ahead when you ask. Races go on your calendar up to a year out, so every week it writes builds toward them.

Which devices get the new workouts?

Garmin, Wahoo, Hammerhead, COROS, Zwift and Rouvy, as soon as the coach saves them. Wahoo holds the next seven days, so later workouts arrive as they come closer.
